Can the orginal xbox read the contents of a 360 disc?

Not that i know of. Not enough power to run a 360 game. If it could no one would buy a 360 they would just mod the Xbox to play the games.

you may have misunderstood me.
I am curious if the original xbox can read what files are on a 360 disc, not to play them, just be able to see then in file view. If it can then im thinking that the original xbox could ftp the 360 files to a computer, hence making a dump of the game. This is the way i make my original xbox backups. Most likely it prob cant read them...

easier to buy a Samsung SH-D162C drive for your PC on Ebay. Also it would be a lot more accurate and way faster then FTP. Plus currently there is no program i know of, like Craxtion4 or Qwix, that could take those files and properly build a 360 ISO from them. The only programs i know build them from the disc only.
