had a go at installing a wiikey today, i havent done any soldering in a few years but found my gear.
played with it for a few hours n failed, stuffed the contact points so i reasembled it without the wiikey and fired it up. it powered up ok but it wont read any disks, it doesnt say insert disk it says cannot read disk. i powered it up without the cover on and noted that the wii never spins up the disk.
can i fix it or is it stuffs

oh its ok, i didnt put the clamp on the drive cable back.
works again now, hmm ill have another crack at the wiikey install later
