I burn an old VHS movie on my Phillips DVDR3900 and it plays fine either on my DVD player and my computer. It is a family video so I try to make a copy for a relative but when I tried to use Nero I got an error. I tried DVD Shrink and it didn't work either. I then try DVDFab Decrypter not luck either. There are two folders in the DVD VIDEO_RM and VIDEO_TS. There are three files inside VIDEO_RM (VIDEO_RM.BUP, VIDEO_RM.DAT and VIDEO_RM.IFO) and 17 files inside VIDEO_TS (VIDEO_TS.BUP, VIDEO_TS.IFO, VIDEO_TS, VTS_01_0.BUP, VTS_01_0.IFO, VTS_01_1.VOB - VTS_01_5.VOB, VTS_02_0.BUP, VTS_02_0.IFO and VTS_02_1.VOB - VTS_02_5.VOB). This DVD is 4.7GB but if I look at the size of the VOBs there are 10 of them and total 8.4GB. Any ideas on how to copy this DVD?
Thanks for your help

That size sounds weird.
Drag the 'VIDEO_TS' folder onto the desktop and try to point DVD Shrink to it.
It sounds like there are two titles on the disk, VTS_01 and VTS_02, the vob's (if playable) should be able to be used to create a new DVD.

I have done that but still getting the error message. I took a look at the VTS_01_1.VOB and it is the same as VTS_02_1.VOB and VTS_01_2.VOB same as VTS_02_2.VOB so I delete the VTS_02*.VOB but still getting the same errors.
Any other ideas?
Thanks

If you use Nero Vision and elect to make a DVD Video, then it should be able to load VTS_01_1.VOB and VTS_01_2.VOB.
I think you have to select 'all files' from the file menu.
Assuming they are in the correct sequence on the window, click the 'Merge' button on the lower left side (centre of a group of three) and proceed to the menu and simulation step to see if it's good to burn.

If you don't merge the files, you get two titles on the menu.
