Hi,

I have my wii modded with a Wiikey or variation of a wiikey chip (im not sure I didnt mod it had somebody do it for me). And it works well with the games I have used. My wii version is 3.0E.

I want to purchase guitar hero 3 but I hear it wants to do an update etc. what i am afraid of is that I spend money on the guitar+game package then the legit copy updates and bricks my wii? Could / would this happen ?

Any help on how to proceed would be much appreciated.

If you buy the legit game, then download the ISO backup that is floating around the net and then patch that ISO with WiiBrickBlocker and that will get rid of that nasty little updated that is embedded in the game.

After reading a bit more, am i correct that it actually has zero chance of bricking my wii as I am using a PAL wii with a Legit PAL game therfore it should update from the game disc safely and correctly ?

The bricking is only related to cross region playing eh? like using a ntsc game disc on a PAL console etc.. ?

yeah you can only brick your wii if you updated with a game from a different region then your wii
