Connect your psp to your computer.
copy all the files on your memory stick and save them to a folder on your computer. I named mine 'PSP backup' but the name doesn't matter...as long as you know what's inside.
done.

backing up is good for when you downgrade/upgrade and you need to format your memory stick. after you finish downgrading/upgrading, copy the files INSIDE the folder that you saved back to your psp. Overwrite any files if it prompts you to.
This makes sure that you keep all your data that you had before (ie. game saves, movies, music, games, iso's, etc etc)

PSP History: 2.71 > 3.30 > 3.50 > 1.50 > 3.30 oe-a > 3.71 m33-2 > 1.50 > 3.52 m33-4 > 3.71 m33-2 > 1.50 > 3.10 oe-a > 1.50 AND IT WON'T UPGRADE TO 2.0!
