A few questions...
Which movies?
Is your software up to date? At what speed do you burn?
Is your firmware for your burner driver up to date?

Hi, like fellow member 7thsinger says, what hardware are you using and what is your method (list of all programs and operating system on pc) of backing up? Please be as precise as possible for us so we may be of some help.

I am having trouble with DVD Decrypter. Every time I rip a DVD movie, the files break out into 4 separate files. How do rip the DVD movie into one complete file rather than 4 separate files? Thanks guys.

DVD decrypter is still good for some movies, but outdated for most. If you still want to try using DVD decrypter (w/out R4ME), try ripping in file or ISO read mode, you can the try opening the files or .iso image using shrink and have it create the backup.
The best free way to go is to use DVDFab HD decrypter to rip with (create video files or .iso image), then use shrink to open with and complete the job. The link to DVDFab is in the sig below.
Try using good media (try using verbs), burn no faster than 1/2 the rated speed of the media and use media that your player is compatible with.

When you use dvd decrypter and look into the log, the log will clearly state in one of the lines what your HDD is, either Fat 32 ot NTFS. NTFS allows the file to be >4GB, while Fat 32 the files will be smaller (most likely in 4 files as you mentioned)

First of all, who really uses the Fat32 file system anymore????
Second,
Quote: Every time I rip a DVD movie, the files break out into 4 separate files
If the file system was Fat32, you would most likely have 2 seperate files (approx. 8GB for dual layer disks which is true for most current movies) not 4 (which could represent upto 16GB).
The 4 files you're referring to are most likely .VOB video files like this....
VTS_01_1.VOB, VTS_01_2.VOB, VTS_01_3.VOB, VTS_01_4.VOB
This is normal when having DVD decrypter rip in FILE mode.
Third, if you want the one large file, try ripping in ISO read mode using DVD decrypter or have DVDFab HD produce an ISO image file as suggested.

RipIt4Me utilizes DVD Decrypter and does an excellent job as well. I usually give that a shot first.
