avi file with MS-MPEG4 V2 jerky after stuffing up codecs

I have this weird avi movie, when I view its fourcc info it says
MS-MPEG4 V2 video codec, its extension is avi.

Ever since I tried adding different codecs its now jerking every 2seconds or so. It used to run smoothly before I added those other codecs. Has anyone else had this problem and is it common for a avi video to have been encoded with this codec ?

How can I fix this problem ?
