After one night of messing around trying to figure out how to play my backups on my ps2 slim, i finally got it!!!!
The problem with the slim is it wont boot exploits cause the buffer overflow was fixed by sony in this model. So.........
Here is my tutorial to play your legal backups on a ps2 slim.
This tutorial was meant to play backups of ps2 games you own. I do not recommend piracy in any way.
You will need:
PS2 Action Replay Max w/ media player
USB PenDrive
Original PS2 Game
Swap Magic 3.3 Elf
Step 1 - You will need to SENSOR MOD your ps2 slim first, this you can read about by searching google.
Step 2 - Copy SM33.ELF to you PENDRIVE
Step 3 - Turn on your ps2 and insert Action Replay Max
When ARMAX has loaded choose MEDIA PLAYER
When MEDIA PLAYER loads, open drive Insert High Toc PS2
Step 4 - Now insert PENDRIVE into USB port
It will read drive, you should now see SM33.ELF
Press play.
Step 5 - This is where the SENSOR MOD will be used
You will now see LOAD PROGRAM
Insert Backup and press x
YOUR BACK WILL NOW BOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!
p.s. when you insert the backup the fliptop on ps2 is always open, thus the ps2 does not know you swaped disks for a backup
