Use samsung sh-d162c dvd (pre-flashed with kreon) drive to rip..
Pioneer drive 112d to burn..

I plan on using xbc 2.4 to rip and imgburn to "burn"

Since Ill be burning the .dvd file (not the .iso) to verbatims, do I still need to set the layerbreak? And if so, how do you do that??

thx..

personally i set mine anyway because i always use to burn the ISO. But i am pretty sure you do not ned it when using the .DVD file. Since the newest version of IMGburn will not even alloy you to choose the ISO file when a .DVD file is present in the same folder.
A .DVD file is like a .Cue file with CD's, it will tell the burner what to burn and how to burn it.

exactly what steimy said ... the .dvd only tells imgburn the name of the .iso and what the layerbreak is ...

if u like rename the .dvd file as a .doc and open it in Word - u'll see its really not much at all ... remember to rename it to .dvd again when ur done ...

yeah, you can open the .DVD file in notepad without renamiong it. It is like 2-3 lines at best.
