ok i heard that you can put a hdd without geting hddloader but you have to put some prog to the memory card to load it up is this true and is their a handy tut to do this????

you still have to use hdloader, but hdloader is on the memory card instead of a retail disc.

exploitstation.com has a detailed guide on how to do everything. you will need an original PS1 game, and a cheating device (ARMAX, GS) with usb support.
