Has anyone been able to strip unwanted cells with this movie and still shrink it to fit on a DVD-5?

You should have known the answer to that question before you asked. Rebuilder can do the Full DVD with only the unwanted audio and subpicture selections removed (which the program does automatically once set). With a little editing and using the quality settings in Shrink, it's do-able with Shrink. First off, what are you wanting to keep in your copy?

Thanks but i know shrink will shrink it to fit. i tried vobblanker but too many ILV's and it won't work. Just want the menu and the movie. I usually use DVDdecrypter-Vobblanker-Recode and then Nero to burn with.

This one is a good candidate for RipIt4Me, available form Softpedia.com. Rip in Movie and menu mode and use the 1 click mode for complete processing. FixVTS is incorporated into 1710. Shrink with the Quality Settings checked will handle the compression.

If you have time check out Rebuilder. It's one of the best programs available for working with high compression tasks. T2 Extreme definitely fits that category.

Thanks Pac Man. I did that and my end result was an ISO file of 6.7 gig.

To appreciate the visual quality of T2 Extreme, IMHO is to backup noncompressed onto a dvd+r dl disc booktyped to dvd-rom and burnt with imgburn

You are correct. I did that and imgburn created a coaster right at the very end.

You mean with using Deep Analysis and Adaptive Error Compensation that the smallest you could get transcoding with Shrink 3.2 was a 6.7GB filesize? Normally the default size will be reached, but compression may cause errors. Like I said, this one is a good candidate for Rebuilder if compressing to DVD5.

Iluvendo stated the obvious for us. Any time you do the backup without compression you get the best quality (no compression errors). That's achieved with DL. I still hate spending a couple of bucks for a working copy of anything. Booktyping to DVD-ROM is okay, but that's usually a compatibility issue with older players, plus your burner has to support the function. I have a twin burner setup and one burner does and one doesn't. On booktyping, use it if you got it; otherwise don't worry if your player plays your recorded DVDs. Most of us around the forums prefer using Verbatim DL and burning with ImgBurn for doing DL backups.

What was the process you used for doing the DL burn? Describe what you did from decryption through the burn process and all software used.
