I keep getting errors when using certain dvds with dvdshrink and dvdfab.....during the analysing faze i get an error saying this....dvdshrink encountered an error and cannot continue. failed to read file "E:\" data error (cycle redundancy check) and with dvdfab sometimes it will just stop and sometimes it will give me an error....dvd i'm trying as of now is charlotte's web the movie


what does this all mean?

A "CRC" error is most often caused by bad media - it could be any of the following:

1. A dirty disc,
2. A scratched disc
3. A poor quality disc (cheap media if it happens during the "Burn" section of your work)
4. A bad disc from the Mfgr.
5. It can also be due to structural copy protection on a disk.
6. It can also be from a bad optical component in your drive.

i don't know much about dvdfab....but it looks as if the copy protection is one neither can break so is giving you the crc error.
try anydvd..which i find to be the best, for getting around the nasties..pay for i'm afraid but worth every penny/cent
