wiikey clone has anybody had problems with them not working

i have recently purchased a wiikey and installed it by just soldering it direct to the board then with a short wire method and finaly with the long wire method none of these worked, after reading more in to the forums i discoverd i may by using the wrong discs for the bootdisk and updates so i purchased some verbatim dvd-r discs which everybody recommends still no joy im begining to wonder if i have got a duff chip has anybody else had problems like this.
my wii still playes original games but any other discs it just gives a (unable to read disc message).
am i doing anything wrong ???????
please HELP!!!

try a different burner

use imgburn at 4x


try that see if it helps

ok i wii try that now.
1 question though do i need to use the bootdisk or should the games play just from installing the chip????
