Your problem is that you're not burning to Verbatim DVD+R DL discs.

I'm getting this same error and I am using Verbatim DL disc's. Made a copy two days ago of Call of Duty 4 and it worked fine and tonight I tried to copy Conan and Jericho and 3 out of 3 times I get the same error as xxgangsta mentioned. I am currently burning a movie with the same burner and no problems so far. I know it is not a dual layer image but i have mixed feelings as to if my drive is bad. any ideas folks?

EDIT: I think I found my problem. If I set my burn speed lower than 8x I get the I/O ERROR but if I set it to 8x burn speed then it all works fine. Weird though because the disc only allows it to get to 4x but hey if it works I won't argue. So to xxgansta try setting your burn speed to 8x or higher and see if that helps.
