So ive been talking to this chick on ebay and was going to buy her new 60gb ps3 today. i just had a couple of questions.

how do i know if it is still sealed? what kind of tape do they use to tape the box? the ps2 had a ps2 tape.

and what firmware did the first ps3 come out with? she says shes had it for over a year and it is still bin.

Thank you for bringing this point up. I want to buy a PS3 off of ebay also but im skeptical about it because people could easily lie about what there selling you. And the price of it for something used is outrageous, but it does come with extra stuff. So im wondering should I just go to a store or is ebay the way to go?

To answer your question kdogg911 I personally dont believe she had it for a year and never opened it once. So most likely its not going to be the same tape.

If you can find it in a store get that but other than that, check there feedback and if it's 100% you don't have much of a problem. And the PS3 comes with just regular tape, no ps3 tape or whatever. And the firmware will probably be under 1.50.

still i would say buy the ps3 from the store as you can always put warranty even do you might not needed but still.
