Are there a lot of PS3 games that play at 1080p? Will most game in the future play at this resolution? Or are PS3 games going to generally play at 720p? Also, does anyone know if Metal Gear Solid 4 will play at 1080p or 720p? Thanks.

Is there really a big difference between 720p games and 1080p games?? For example, if you play any of these 1080p games at 720p, do you really notice a huge difference? I was thinking of buying a 1080p tv solely to play ps3 on, but if not many games will be at 1080p, and if the difference is not great, then I'm better off buying a 720p tv. Thank you for your responses.

Personally I'm getting a 720p because I can't afford a 1080p and I'm not that fussy about graphics as long as I get the 16:9 I'll be happy. And the number of 1080p games for the ps3 is increasing quite a bit so I wouldnt base getting one off the # out right now. IMO you wont notice a diff between 1080 and 720 unless u got a screen bigger than 40". Hope that helps any.

I've read that it doesn't. But I gotta say, I'm running through HDMI to a 50" Samsung with my 360 set to 1080p and it looks beautiful.
