3.03 FW to 3.40 OE Upgrade

My brother in law's got sony's firmware 3.03 on his PSP. What's the easiest way for him to get it to 3.40 OE? The older posts seem to indicate using GTA: LCS to downgrade to 1.50 and then upgrade from there. Is there currently an easier way? Like maybe a winstaller?

I told him i'd find out so I help him out with this over the holidays.

u can either downgrade , choices (not steps)

1. Use Pandora's battery (best choice)
2. Downgrade with LCS
3. Downgrade with Lumines
