I have a few questions:

1. If I have a Benq or Hitachi drive, can they play my backups directly or do they need to be patched? The backup is a rip from my own Samsund DVD-rom drive on my comp.

2. Whats with the 360 updates? Will it brick the system or something like that(like in the wii)?
