ive read up about CFW on here for the last two weeks and i am starting to understand.
if someone could clear up a few questions for me it would be much appreciated.
ive jus bought a slim with OFW 3.60. a good friend of mine has given me all the psp games upto a few month ago on cd's. (he played them on his custom fat psp).
so im wanting to down/up grade my psp to play these games. do i need to upgrade to CFW 3.71 m33?
what difference will having this fw ultimately make?

basically what is the recommended protocol for a psp slim noob???

i use my memory cards for my mobile phone, psp, laptop and club dj'ing with pioneer cdj 1000mk3's.

if u upgrade to cfw u will be able to play homebrew n downloaded games-no need for umd.so u should upgrade.

ur friend got a cfw already which is great.get a spare battery n spare mem stick n ask him to make a pandora for u using the guide in my sig below.

he no longer has the CFW psp hence the giveaway, but i will try to find another.
can i still use umd's if i upgraded??
can i still use my psp in all the normal ways?
can i play all or most downloaded games on the upgraded firmware?
is 3.71 m33 the recommended fw?

after much looking into it i think im nearly there lol.

-yes u still can use umds.
-u can use ur psp up to its limits,better than any normal way.
-u can play latest games also..
-i recommend 3.71M33-3 as it has less bugs n check my sig-i am the 3.71M33-3 user lol...

***NOTE - If you do manage to downgrade you will only be able to play emulators that do require the 1.5 kernel...
