Alright, I have a problem. I modded my xbox in the past and did a hard drive upgrade to a 80 gig Western Digital and did everything through xboxhdm and all that. I kept the files on my pc and I wanted to mod another xbox(basically, I gave someone my old xbox and got theirs and I want to mod it again) and the problem is that I copied all the files from the C and E drive, but I had the old eeprom files from the old Western Digital Hard Drive when I made the xboxhdm iso and locked my hard drive. Well I figured I could just easily unlock it again by using the unlocking tools and the password that was given to me, and it just won't work. It keeps saying DRIVE WILL NOT UNLOCK, and yeah, I am afraid I have a junk hard drive now, but if I have the password to unlock it, then why won't it work? I saw that you could possibly unlock it through atapwd, with a master password, but I don't know it. It is a Maxtor D740-6L, 40 gig. Any ideas?
it is really confusing. I had an xbox and i upgraded the hard drive to an 80 gig western digital. well i backed up my files and eeprom from the 80 gig to my pc, which i still own. i copied the c and e drive from an unmodded xbox that i wanted to mod to my pc and replaced the c and e drive from the other modeed xbox, but like an idiot, i forgot to replace the eeprom i backed up from the unmodded xbox. instead, it has the eeprom from the other xbox, which i think are different versions. so i went through xboxhdm and copied everything from the newer xbox and like an idiot, locked it, using the old eeprom files. i have the hdd key but when i load up the unlocking tools through either xboxhdm or the floppy i made, it doesn't unlock.
