can i use a regular pc hard drive for my ps2 slim?

how exactly do i get a hdd for my ps2 slim? cuz i see that alot of people have them and it almost seems to me that everybody is using regular hard drives. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

only v12 and v13 slim ps2 can get a regular computer hdd, with hdcombo. all others will have to use a usb hdd.

you can check what kind you have HERE. match the scph number with yours.

to check your ps2, start it without a game. once loaded, highlight browser and press triangle. you will see your scph number.
