im using dvd shrink 3.1, menushrink, and dvddecryptor. my problem is the dvd that I am trying to backup has both full and widescreen versions on the same side of the disc. I want to remove the fullscreen version, and import the compressed menu from menushrink. when I reauthor the disc in dvd shrink. the menues are all jacked up. is menushrink only for full disc backup? im trying to essentially keep a "full backup" minus the full screen. is this too much to ask out of these simple programs? my first attempt upset my ps2. cant afford to waste dvd's. (thats how cheap I am). any help is appreciated
great tutorials, but i didnt see any ex. of what im having problems with. if it is in a tutorial that I overlooked let me know.
i didnt see any examples of you authoring the menus with the main movie. this disc that i am working with has a special features menu that goes to 20 pages of actor bios amongst other things.
dvd shrink shows title menus, and other VTS files, but you cannot drag them into the dvd structure and keep functionality. my file on my hd plays through all of these pages, then the title screen for 30, then the movie, then directors editorial, trailer. you have no control over the menu or when what plays. the perks surrounding the main movie (actor bio, etc.) are too precious to give up, but the movie compression is half, which is not gonna fly.
are my options only either full disk backup with terrible ratio, or main movie with no menu/bios. or do i need to learn a new prog? if so which one.
I suggest to use the prehistoric IFOedit and select everything but full screen. You can find instructions on this site. It's my final solution to my problems when everything else fails.
