i have fat ps2 and a hdd 200g and want to use them on games, how can i copy games to my hdd? i have read topics on dis forum but have no idea what are they talking about. can anybody pls help me how to start from the beginning and what should i buy? my friend using a ps2 wid hdd and have an idea about it, he has already alcohol softwares for copying but he does'nt have memory to boot the copied games in his new hdd ^_^
you don't need alcohol 120% to copy games. you can use dvd decrypter; very easy to use and highly recommended.
to boot the hdd, the easiest way is with the memory card exploit. you need a ps1 game, action replay MAX, usb flash drive, a ps2 memory card, and hdloader 0.8b elf. you can find guides at exploitstation.com on how to create the exploit, and hdloader 0.8b elf at sksapps.com, under ps2 hdd section.
to transfer games to the hdd, it's recommended to connect the hdd to the computer and use winhiip. if you do it with the ps2, expect at least an hour or two for each game.
