Wiikey Problem. Please Help.

Hello. I have a first generation wii, freshly installed with a wiikey. The problem is the wii is having problems reading some discs, originals and backups, but will play others. An example of this is the wii has problems reading wii sports now, but it will play my backup of trauma center. My friend installed the wiikey, who isnt a pro solderer to say the least, could weak connections be the problem? He used the quick solder points. I also haven't updated the wiikey yet, but I can't see how this would effect original games. I would be thankful for any advice.

obviously he did it correctly if it will play some of them your problem comes to either the way your burning them or the media your using many prefer verbatim i have no troubles with TDK or Memorex and be sure you take the speed down to the lowest

Thanks for the reply. I use verbatium discs though to backup all my games and i burn them on the slowest speed. From what I've heard you can't get better then verbatium. Also, why does my wii have problems reading some original discs now like wii sports?
