Can someone help me with my Verizon V3m?

I have been trying to out music on this phone for the past two days. I am running windows vista with wmp 11. Now I know supposably this doesntwork to sync music, but I have done it once, proof being there i music on my phone. Now however, repeating the same steps, I get stuck after the computer recognizes as a usb modem. When I try to go to sync music, it just says it needs to find new hardware. I use MTP FIX and a driver tool, but to no avvail. I no there are guides but they all say the same thing and ive tried them. NE1 have suggestions?
