I'm in Afghanistan going through a deployment and i recently got Guitar Hero 3 backup. It played fine the first day but on the second day
the dvdloader stopped working. It usually loads up from the playstation load screen then goes black like its loading up but it takes me back
to the browser screen(the screen where you manage your memory cards). IF
it does load past that screen it just hangs from there. The laser is stuck at the very tip of the disk. So i assumed the disk is dead.
I decided to check out other options to play other my GH3 backup. I have had NO SUCCESS in the backup load. Ive done the cogswap method using the cd version of the swapmagic. I used Tomb Raider Anthology as the TOC but then after hitting "X" to load the backup the Laser goes insane. It makes a ton of noise and it doesnt load up. I even used the broke swapmagic dvd version to load. Surprisingly, i got the game to load(after a long load of the dvdloader in cogswap)but it hangs after the first initial load of GH3. thats as far as i gotten and im up for any Ideas. I Do have a few questions though;
1) can you load a ps2 dvd backup using swap magic cd version?
2) why does my laser go crazy on a game with a high TOC? (it was 4.34g)
3) is there free software and a method to play backups off my portable HDD?
Cliffs:
1) swap magic DVD loader disk stopped working on 2nd day of having GH3
2) Tried many of tutorials on this website.
3) nothings worked
4) Need ideas
