Holy toledo, I got a steal of a deal on 123 Copy DVD Gold tonight. Not sure how long it lasts but they shouldn't put it out there if they don't want the masses to find it. I mean this has got to be a mistake, but a good one in my opinion

maybe, I was a loyal 321 guy back in the day, but this is a great bang for the buck and easy to use. I did recently get a new interesting unnamed beta recently from an old college friend who is looking to break in the industry, it's a beast of an app right now, alot of audio and video features, he only has 2 stumbling blocks getting it to the channels, money of course and whether or not everyone in the movie and music and player industry are gonna sue him. lol. I told him to hit up the afterdawn crowd for beta testers, never have a problem finding testers here.

If you were a XCopy user, you know what happened to them. Sued into oblivion.
Ripit4me... Website removed, program development stopped. Digital Digest website screwed over.

FixVTS ditto.

DVD Decrypter... Similar fate. It was sort of turned into a ripper free version called ImgBurn which works very well.

DVD Shrink... The developer stopped before the legal action occured, went to work for Ahead and made Nero Recode into what it is today... An updated, ripper free version of Shrink.

If you are not based in China or Antigua, etc, then they will come after you.

123 Copy Gold is a copy program with no decryption software involved. It couldn't claim being sold in US chain stores mentioned on the program's website if it broke the law with decryption software. The movie industry would sue their socks off. As Frank mentioned, the 321 Studios case set the US precedent. Unless a person is looking for software to convert to mobile formats, the free ImgBurn does as good or a better job. 123 does ringtones, and DVD to Ipod, Zune, and PSP. Though more expensive, programs like Corel's DVD Copy 6 Plus is what a retail program should be.

I've seen all kinds of companies jack up prices so they could discount to make purchases feel better psychologically. It's an old trick. You have to ask yourself what the program is really worth in comparison to others. I don't think it rates well myself. I own the Corel.
