Created an exploit, now need to run games from USB HD FAT PS2

I have finish creating the exploit using actionreplay max and the memory card.

It runs fine, I am able to load all the files from the memory card.

However, I want to burn games or read games from my laptop and transfer it over to the USB hard drive.

I want to know, is this possible? I have a fat ps2 with the network adapter, but don't want to use this, i wnat to use usb hd.

What kinda format do i need for the hd and what software i need?
I just usbadvance.elf but it keep saying unrecognize drive and will not let me convert.

If this is not possible, then ill just use the network adapter exploit method.

NEVER use external hard drives to play games

ps2 only has usb 1.1 slots, never tried doing this but games will result in complete horrible lag

thats why it was lagging so much to load it in the exploit.
