No. Nero 6 and some of the earlier versions of Nero 7 are not Vista compatible. The others all work.

There's been problems reported using Nero 8 burning rom as the supported burner in DVD Shrink. Simple speak: don't set DVD Shrink to burn with Nero 8. If you have to use Nero 8 for compatibility with Vista, then you'll need to save Shrink output to the hard drive and burn manually with Express. VSO's CopyToDVD and ImgBurn are still supported, so you can look into those options. ImgBurn is free, but you need to change the exe file in Shrink or swap some files for it to be supported for auto burning with DVD Shrink.

AnyDVD is updated with the Vista OS in mind, so Slysoft will make any adjustments needed. They have the AnyDVD HD decrypter which is specific to Vista. Same as the regular AnyDVD, but with HD capabilities enabled. The key activates some or all of the program according to what the customer wants to pay. Most people still aren't buying into the high priced HD recording. For the cost of a recordable disc a person can just about buy an extra copy of anything they want to back up.
As for the other programs, some people using Vista have run into problems. It's hard to tell how many have only been functional problems and not dealing specifically with the Vista OS. Soup1 gives them a clean bill.

Just to be clear I have Nero 7 updated all the way on my Vista drive. I am not going anywhere near Nero 8 just yet.

No problem as long as you don't care about moving up to Blu Ray or High Definition DVD which are specific to Vista. Also, Nero 8 outputs to mobile formats. I've already got Nero 8. I'm holding off on using it though until I need the new upgrades. I'm still getting used to Nero 7. ;)

To each his own. If cost is the basis of the decision, ImgBurn is the best option.
Some of the programs in Nero 6 are dated. That's why Nero did the 7 upgrade. With the new technology and some of it specific to the Vista OS, Nero did the 8 upgrade. Like most things it's simply a matter of preference and what you need at the time.

For consumers Vista will ALWAYS suck. Change it from "1984" to VISTA
This system monitors everything you do. It will decide what programs and hardware you can install. And for copying, creating DVDs forget about it . This system is the answer for "copyright infringement" Wait soon we will here "..and prosecution call your pc to the witness stand" I have no doubt that eventually this system will report your every action and it currently restricts many internet activities.
But MS need not worry, people have short memories, and blind hope (that it's not so bad or will get better) are lazy (won't protest or boycott with any real substantial effort), Oh yeah, if those people are Americans you can run anything pass them (Bush, Iraq, Homeland security Act, illegal aliens...)
Lets not forget that Microsoft already makes $$ hand over world. So go out and get Vista and re buy most of your software, peripherals
