Wow, now that was a bit harsh. Although i do agree.
Verbatim is suggested for a few reasons.
1. they are high quality and you will get a better back up copy
2. they do not use cheap dye which can wear out the laser in your 360
3. they have a 10 year life span unlike cheap dye so your games will not degrade and stop working over time
4. they have been proven to work great for just about anyone who has used them.
So you can spend less now and spen more later replacing degraded and non-working discs, or wasting discs making a lot of bad burns (coasters), or pay to have your laser replaced when it wears out straining to read the cheaper media.
The choice is yours to make, we just try to help you make the right one, even if it does cost a little more up front. The discs will still pay for themselves ten times over.

Cheap media is not so cheap when you end up w/ a bunch of coasters. Verbs are 13USD for 50pcs, how much cheaper do you want?

just look at this site, http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm . I use memorex right now and they seem fine but as everyone keeps saying, cheap media will screw you in the end. I am switching to verbatim once my spindle is up.

Ya but we're talking about dual layer not single layer. In the US we can get them on sale for around $30 for a 20 pack.
