OK as some of you may recall I got fired a bit ago. I applied about a week ago for a job at CompUSA and I got a call last night from CompUSA saying they wanted me to come in for an interview today. So I went and sat through two interviews, then the guys who did the interviews said "Go have a look around the store for a sec if you want while we compare notes and talk".
They came back ten minutes later and said "Your hired as long as you pass a drug test". Well, I have never done drugs in my life and I am not on any prescriptions so the results are going to come back clean. :-)
They didn't say an official starting date but its probably a few days after I get the drug test done.
So at least I got a job at something I kind of enjoy, doing some computer related stuff. :-)
I'm also going to school in the spring and they are aware of that so they said when January comes I can cut my hours back from full time to part time and they won't have a problem as I warned them a ways in advance. :P

great just make sure you are to work on time and don't call in sick often and you will be ok

Congrats :)
I have two interviews myself this morning. I probably wont get a drug test, it's not as strict in the UK as it is in the US as far as employment rules are. Just as well, I'd probably fail the drug test with all that weed smoking, lol. Which would be rather disappointing indeed. Hope you enjoy your job. Fingers crossed that I get mine today too.

Yep, I made it aware to them that I was not a morning person so I made sure that they gave me a shift for noon or later.

Best of luck with your interviews Mik3h, just be sure to drink lots and lots of water the day before the drug test as this will help flush your system out, at least thats what I've heard.

Thanks binkie7, yeah I am into electronics and particularly computers so this should be a good job for me.

Thanks guys I got one :) In a supermarket in the UK (Tesco)
It's not a great job but I'm still at school so I can't be picky, lol. And no drug tests either, lol.

Not sure yet, if my friend is correct I get everything at cost (or probably just slightly higher than cost) because he thought that was the employee discount about two years ago when he was there.
They haven't said anything to me about it yet though.

I've never been in a CompUSA. Over 60 miles to the closest one-Dayton,Oh. I can't believe they don't have a store in Columbus Oh,at least according to their Locator.
At least you weren't working there during Black Friday!!!
