I have installed the Magic Keys on my PS2, but when I installed the 3rd part of the set, it broke my PS2. I'm getting my PS2 repaired/getting a new PS2, and I will try this mod again. But is there anyway to avoid using that 3rd part that broke the PS2? Or is there some other way to mod the PS2? Thanks in advance.

You could try a flippy (flip-top lid). Or the tape and tape and tissue mod, which is like the same as magic keys but I don't think you could break your ps2 as easily with straws.

I guess I will try that Tape and Tissue mod when I get my PS2, which I will probably get this Saturday. But is it really possible to break a PS2 with that mod? And it said something about Part B which can be ignored?

The only way you could break it is during the opening of the ps2. Other wise you would be hard to do so as the other 2 points do not require you to open the console. Part B would be referring to the disk brake. This does need to be pushed back in order for the mod to work.

Well, the last time I opened my PS2 like three times with no problems, so I shouldn't be able to break it that way. Thanks, I'm gonna try this out soon after I get my PS2. :P

Modding a slim ps2 is very easy. All you need is a straw, some scissors and a q-tip. There are three sensors you need to block, but I don't have the pics right now so give me a few days and I'll post some pictures up here to help you and everybody else who's having trouble with this.

I got a new PS2 today, and it's version is V15. Will it have any effect on the modding? And is there any "safer" way to mod it than the Tape and Tissue?

Nope. All ps2's are moddable.
Safer method? Well since you have some experience taking the system apart I would recommend a flippy (flip-top lid). It is a replacement top half. This makes it so you can skip the whole thing with the 3 sensors. Really simple and easy.
