How do I put iso games on my PS2 using memory card exploit and Syphon filter

Hey guys,
I was thinking about buying a PS2 on craigslsit and wanted to check here before i buy it. It is a Fat PS2, with a 320 Gig Seagate HD, and he uses Syphon filter and a memory card exploit to run the games. He said his friend set it up for him, so I don't think he is very knowledgeable about it so I wanted to ask you guys.

With this set up can I load iso games and more importantly to me, custom guitar hero songs using the Syphon filter and memory card exploit? He is not using the HD loader and I wanted to be sure I can load ISO games and run the custom Guitar hero set up. He told me all the games he has tried work, but I think all he does is load a game from the PS2.

he IS using hdloader; it's loaded on the memory card, and the syphon filter disc triggers hdloader, instead of loading the game.

you should be able to put custom GH songs. as long as you can get it in iso format, then you can transfer it to the hdd.

transferring games is easy. you connect the hdd to the computer as a slave drive. it won't show up because it's formatted differently, and the computer can't recognize it. but download winhiip, and you'll be able to see the drive, and load games onto it. it's much faster compared to the ps2 1-2 hours per game.

thanks cee43, I have scanned through the 12 step tutorial on putting custom guitar hero 2 games onto the PS2, but since I don't have a custom PS2 yet, I didn't fully read it. Hopefully you can let me know if this is right.

I have Guitar Hero 2, so I think I could use DVDdecrypter to get it into ISO format on my HD, after that I use the 12 step process of getting the custom songs into a new custom iso. After that I hook the PS2 HD up to my computer and use winhip to load it to the PS2 HD. Than I hook the PS2 HD back up to the PS2 and use Syphon Filter and the memory card exploit to load the game. Is this correct? Am i missing anything?

Oh and one more thing. How do I connect the 2nd HD to my computer. Should there be a cable to connect a 2ns one or do I have to install something to be able to connect a 2nd Hard Drive?

Or would is be easier to get an HD enclosure so I could use USB to transfer?

You either have to take off the case of your PC and plug it in like a hard drive either through ide or sata connection. Or use an external enclosure over USB (Which is propably easier if your going to do it a lot).
