Way to boot from isos on your computer besides PSO BBA

Since PSO BBA doesn't have enough speed to work well.

Is there a way, possibly with a modchip, or without, to not have a disk (or possibly just one with some program or w/e on it) in the gamecube, and hook up the gc to the pc? I see the USB port on the Viper Extreme and was wondering if you could hook it up via usb and could select from the games on the computer?
