Bringing a modded wii to US as a carry on good or bad idea?

Hi I got my wii modded with a wii key. Now I am going to the U.S for Christmas. Is it safe to bring my wii as a carry on in a protective case? Would they confinscate it? I am leaving all my backups in my suitcase. Can they tell if there is a mod chip in it?

If they can tell it's modded then they probably have a modded Wii themselves and will be saying "I can't wait to go home and play on my modded Wii!!" to themselves in their head.

You will have no worries.

will u be allowed to carry it on? with all the restrictions these days on hand luggage u may not get away with it

i am not up on these restrictions so maybe they have been relaxed since i last looked into it

It should be fine, people can carry on laptops still so I don't see why they would have a problem with you carrying on your Wii.
