Booting XBMC as a dash... HOW????

Ok before I begin here is some info that will help people who are reading this be able to help me:

I used SID 4.0 auto installer to soft mod a friends xbox
The disc drive in his was dead and was not reading anything. So in order to be able to soft mod his system I had to take the DVD drive out of my chipped system and install it into his.
I do not feel like having to do this again and I know there is a way to have XBMC launch as a dashboard after a system has already been modded.

The main problem I am having with the SID installation is that there is no way to access anything like the skins for example it's almost like they were built into the bios

1) I cannont use Aid at all because I do not have a DVD burner

2) I cannot use the XBE shortcut maker because when i launch it I get this



3) The XBMC Wiki doesn't explain how to get XBMC to to load as a dashboard when you turn on your system
