I'm going to buy myself one of these and am having a hard time deciding. I'm wondering if anyone could tell me what the think of playing online on the PS3 vs. 360. I have a a PS2 and Xbox and preferred ps2 because I didn't have to pay for it. I eventually used kai link to play xbox (Halo)online because i just don't see the point of paying. I really could care less about the community because all i want to do is play. It's fun to play together!! I don't care about stats. I've also heard alot about 360's burning out? I understand they both have their exclusive games. I Like Halo, but I also like Socom. Also I don't know if I trust sony because of the bug they were putting on cds to put a worm in ur computer. I'm thinking maybe they put something in the ps3 to tell them what i've put on it such as music/movies. etc.

I'm really confused can someone please help

PS. I have a wii already and it's great but there are times i just want to sit and push buttons. Lazy Time!! plus there isn't NCAA Football on wii which is the game I love the most!

Lets see..
PS3
- free online gaming
- much more reliable than the 360
- Blu ray player built in
- built in wifi and HDMI output (even on the 40GB version)
- will be around longer than the 360
- HDD is much cheaper to upgrade than the 360
XBox 360
- reliability is just not there (google red ring of death)
- online gaming is not free
- you have to pay extra for wifi (the elite which is $499 still has no wifi) and HD player
- Upgrading your HDD is much more expensive on the 360
These are the few point that I can think of now between the 2 console.

If your deciding between the 2 ask yourself which of the 2 console has games that you want to play? I'll admit even for a PS3 owner there's only one game right now that I wish the PS3 has and that Gears of War. Other than that thats it. Most games now are coming out multiplatform.
Oh and another thing. Wal Mart is suppose to be having this sale that when you buy a PS3, you get 10 free Blu Ray movies on the spot. Also you still get to send away for an additional 5 more free Blu Ray movies so that a total of 15 free Blu Ray movies.
Anyway. Hope this helps you make your decision. And this still does not help you. May I suggest flipping a coin? :P

Everytime one of these threads are made they get closed. Try the search bar. You are probably going to get a biased opinion in the ps3 forum torwards ps3 and the same for 360.

Hey unless there is a Sony Exclusive game you are really after - MGS4 for example I would get a 360 (IF Hardware problems have been sorted)

All the multiplatform games are superior on the 360 (down to lazy devs) but PS3 owners suffer.

I sometimes regret buying my PS3 but avoided the 360 because of hardware problems which i think is mostly resolved now.
