Here's my dilemma:

I downloaded the HD version of Troy (8GB!!!), but in Russian with Russian subtitles. I need to remove the subtitles if possible and replace the audio with the original. I have the original DVD. I know it's possible to do all this as long as the subtitle isn't written directly into the film (I'm assuming a bunch of stuff at this point), but replacing the audio should b cake. How would I go about doing this? Virtual Dub (some, but little experience with this over 4 years ago) and DVD Decrypter comes to mind. I remember when I was converting DVD to AVI's the hard way. took 3 hours! lol

wow everything seems 1-2-3... assuming I need to rip the audio from my DVD in mp3 format, when I compile/merge the mp3 with the extracted video file, how can I preview the movie to make sure there's no lip sync problem?

Can you load the .mkv (.mka?) file into VirtualDubMod, and check the 'Frame Rate' under 'Video', to see if there's a difference?
