I read everywhere about gameshark and some says i need a neo Modchip and i heard that it screws up your lens so thats a no. I already have a gameshark and i dont feel it as a need to buy swap magic because i dont know where is a good place to buy it, sorry if it affended any of you people. And i read that you swap games with the slide card but the slide card is useless for me because the gametray automatically slides out whenever the screen says "insert game". so i was wondering whether it would work or not because i read somewhere that the gameshark2 v1.1 does work and then in another thread that it doesnt work...i dont know whether it works or not. so can somebody plz help me? I really want to play my backups.

you have to use a slidecard. the gameshark will still check if the game is an original press disc when it ejects the tray. you have to take out the front cover of the tray, and make a slidecard.

not sure if this will work:

what you have to do is put in an original game when the gameshark ejects the tray. push the eject button so the tray goes back inside. once it's done reading the disc, use the slidecard and pull out the tray. swap the games, push back the tray, and reslide the white pin to the left. then start the game.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd

got a whole lot more to list . . .

I tried the trick...It works decent it doesnt load, it just stays on a blank screen. Is it my game's fault? Im using Fujifilm DVD-r for the backup. Is that disc ok to use?

the method is for booting ps1 games, but it doesn't hurt trying it with the ps2 GS disc.

i haven't seen anything else for booting backups. it's either slidecard and swapmagic, hdd with hdloader, or a modchip.

as for your media; verbatim, taiyo yuden, or sony. eversince i got my new computer, the burner only sees verbatims.
