optical 5.1 dts only 640kbps without TRUHD?

I have a 5.1 suround system. For ps3 optical setting I select Dts but my reciever doesn't seem to accept this.Does playstation Dts mean the new true hd format? My reciever says DTS but I can't pick DTS from ps3 menu or I loose multi channel decoding. So Instead of selecting DTS, I select dolby digital 5.1 but only get 640 kbps during spiderman blueray play back. Is this right?
