I just bought mass effect but due to horrible reason I don't have a T.V anymore. I just bought the Xbox 360 VGA cable's thinking that I could use my Laptop's screen as a monitor and play 360 off that.. but everytime I plug it in, and start up my machine my screen just flickers nonstop.. My laptop has the VGA input (no other accessories reqd) but it doesnt seem to work..
I have a TOshiba Satallite P200 -rt2 with a 2ghz processor.. But all I want to do is use it as a t.v screen.. Anyone please help..

are you sure its an input and not an output like the rest of the laptops in use around america? tying to push a signal the wrong direction through a box and praying aint gonna make it work

1st day using a laptop joe?

the VGA OUTPUT on the back of your laptop is to hook up an external monitor for your laptop....looks like you need a monitor of somesort
