I am a new guy at the forum so forgive me if this subject has been dealt with in another thread already.

I own a modded slim PS2 and recently purchased a Samsung WriteMaster DVD burner for my computer to replace my old one. The problem is that it will not let me burn images of my games at less than 4x. I have both DiscJuggler 4.xx and Alcohol 4.xx and until now I've been able to burn game images at 2x with Alcohol and at 1x with DiscJuggler using my old burner. I know that the lower the burning speed, the better the laser lens will read them and the better the game will play. Now, both Alcohol and DiscJuggler will not let me burn DVD game images at a speed lower than 4x. Could it be the burner itself?

I would appreciate any suggestions as to how I can keep burning backup images at 2 and 1x.
