hi ,

i have dvd shrink and i was wanting to make sure that i was burning to dvd-rom booktype , i have a new lite on lh 20a1p burner and it supports booktype or bitsetting as it is called , when i go to backup the option for booktype to dvd -rom is checked but greyed out were you cannot change it . is this a default setting , or does this mean that it is set to dvd-rom and it can not be changed . thanks

you can set it in nero express in options after you transcode with dvd shrink VVVVV

Booktyping (also called bit setting) can only be applied to +R/+RW media and only if your burner supports the feature. So make sure both situations are true and the gray will go away...LOL.

BookType (Bitsetting):

The Lite-On LH-20A1P supports Bitsetting, and will as default write DVD+R DL media with DVD-ROM BookType. The Bitsetting can be changed in i.e. Nero CD/DVD Speed:




Make sure you're using +R media.
