Hello the psp world!!! Its Brandon89 here to ask one simple question?
Can a slim be used to unbrick a fat?

You see, I've been a total retard and been messing around with my flash0 files on my psp, only to brick it :( Fortunately this isn't the first time. Now I've used my friend's fat to unbrick my psp, but now he sold his fat and has a modded slim.

So would I be able to make a fat pandora battery using a slim, or am I screwed and would need another modded fat psp to do the trick?

Alrighty, thanks for your time!!

Later guys

If you want a JigKick(Pandora) then use the FAT battery. You can create the JigKick using the Slim, as long as it's in custom firmware. If you try to create a JigKick using the Slim's battery, then you will brick the Slim's battery. So, you just run the Pandora's battery installation normally, but with the FAT battery.

great! thanks a lot for the information, my friend happens to be paranoid with bricking his slim (as he should be) so this will just confirm to him that unbricking my fat using his slim wont brick his slim, provided that im using a fat battery.

thanks kikzm33z for the help, much appreciated mate :D

cheers

No problem, but remember to backup your flash0 next time.

haha actually i did, but you see the problem was that I accessed my flash0 files through M33's vsh menu in the xmb (by holding down the [home] button---i have 3.52 M33-4) and i was reflashing through that outlet....

the problem is that if you are going to do anything with flash files, it is imperative that you do so through the recovery menu...not through vsh in xmb..

im not sure though, maybe its just my psp, although ive always been told to access flash files through recovery, and never through vsh....

why is there that option then? if it only leads to a brick...

Maybe if backing up using the VSHMenu wasn't a good idea... Maybe the VSHMenu was used just to flash the XMB. Not backing up.
