do i have to connect to the internet to update my wii or are there any discs that i can just install with, its just that i am worried that i brick my wii with the updates on the games plus the fact that i havent got the required cables to connect to the internet yet.

the Wii has a wireless connection, if you have a wireless router enter the password and it will find your internet connection....

i checked around on the nintendo site and unless you use wireless, or update from a game, it doesn't seem like there is an "update disc" that you can make. these are usually downloadable from the manufacturers website (like microsoft update for the 360), but it doesn't seem like nintendo has this option.
