2. Are there any other emulators other than Snes for linux?
3. Does wifi work for linux?
4. Is it easy to switch between Gameing Os to linux and back?

1.) Yes although I'm not sure what it's called.

2.)Currently I have snes genesis and nintendo also thinking about mame.

3.)Wifi works with the latest version of yellow dog linux.

4.)All I do is at the kboot prompt type boot_game_os or just hold the power button down during shut off for five seconds.

Regarding the wifi, you can also use Ububtu now with the 7.10 (gutsy Gibbon) update.

Which is the best os for ps3 and why?

For Yellow Dog Linux when you switch to game_os do you have to reinstall YDL when going back?

While on YDL what kind of format is readable (fat32, plug and play)?

i dont know what the best one is as i haven't tried them all but i use ubuntu, you can install emulators on there, java and flash support for the web browser and sixaxis works with bluetooth (with some work on your part)

once its installed you wont have to reinstall its on a seperate partition to the xmb.

i dont know what you mean by plug and play but linux uses ext2 and ext3 file systems, alto ugh if you have an external harddrive or even a usb stick you can create a shared harddrive between linux and the ps3 xmb
