Just wondering if anyone out there knows what is wrong with my psp.

I can play all sorts of USA iso/cso for example:
Monster Hunter Freedom 2
Portable Ops
Tekken : DR
Sims2: Castaway

But when I add JP games such as Bomberman and Disgaea Makai Senki they do not show up on my psp.

The version is v3.52m33-4 , do I need some sort of program or upgrade??

Would appreciate the help,

...Some dude who can't play awesome games...

Do you have an ISO folder in the root of your PSP?

Create a folder called "ISO" (without the quotes) in CAPS in the root of your PSP: X:/ISO

Then. copy the ISO or CSO game in the "ISO" folder: X:/ISO/(game goes here).iso

I dunno if this is gonna work, but try enabling "Fake Region" in the recovery menu. I, too, am also on 3.52 M33-4, and I'm able to play Japanese games such as Gundam Battle Chronicles.

I can play Bomberman easily. Try using zachier's idea. If that doesn't work then re-flash your PSP.

Look at the list of games:
Monster Hunter Freedom 2
Portable Ops
Tekken : DR
Sims2: Castaway

He can play all of them. Not the ISO folder's fault.

No, you need the ISO folder.

I didn't understand what JP meant so I did write exactly what you needed but try what zachier said.

Do you know what I mean... He's already got an ISO folder...
He's played games with no problem. He can't play JP games. Do you need another post on me telling you that he's already got the ISO folder?

Wow fast feedback lol...

To clarify I can play the listed games perfectly and know where to add isos etc etc. But yea I just can't play these two which are coincidentally both JP (Japanese) format.

Sorry for being a noob, actually i am a newbie, it says so so the left :O.
But I'm not sure how to access recovery mode/fake region, is it via pc or psp?..
Have tried re-formatting (not re-flashing) my psp and no luck. How do ya reflash? :s

As I did not mod the psp myself I have no clue of its functionability (is that a word?).

Turn you PSP off by resetting it (holding the switch up until the screen goes black). Then, hold the R trigger and stay holding it and turn your PSP on. You will then be in Recovery Mode. Surf the steps until you see one called "Fake region" and enable it. Go back to teh main menu, select exit and you'll be back on the XMB.

Mr Mjfouline seems to be correct. Have switched to jp/usa/nz regions and the game still does not show up under the gaming list.

Anyone else got any ideas?...

Jay.
Re-flashing means you downgrade to 1.50 then back up to w.e. custom firmware you have.
Your Japanese games may be a bad dump.
Backup/DL other Jap games and try them.

very useful sentence...

TO solve this problem, just try the region free thing in recovery mode, nothing bad can happen!

I looked for a link but I can't find it: i once got linked to a page on PSP hacks. it was a patch for non us isos.

No problem. If I were you, I'd get another MS and try the JP games again.
