Well the rules get in the way. Its ok to say, oh i got a movie from Bit Torrent or something, but if you said oh i downloaded this movie, and gave a title and the source then its against the rules! Same the other way around if I tell you where to get it, it would be just as bad. Now I know u didnt ask for a specific film, but if I put an ftp link on site that brought you to a dump full of movies then that would definately be against the rules and if I sent you to a distribution channel on IRC that would be the same thing. The rules are there to keep the evil corperations at bay :-)
Ye there are a whole host of sites to search but that is not all that there is i can assure you. In fact, there are many more (in most cases) bots serving a file that u searched for on packetnews or ircspy and u only got a result from a few of them!
