okay I've been looking around at various sites for a long time now to learn how to boot ps2 games from the hdd. I want to know more about the exploit that puts files on the memory card so HD loader will run when you have inserted a psx disc.I know you can get these files on the mem card by using swap magic, modchip, genuine hd loader etc. What I want to know is if you can transfer the necessary .elf files directly from your pc to the memory card through some kind of adapter like the one used with the ps3 to read ps2 mem cards. Or any pc-to-mem card adapter really. I just don't want to spend money on something like swap magic if im only going to use it once. thanks for your help.

you need to use a cheating device that has usb support. the most recommended is action replay MAX.

the ps3 memory card adapter will not work because there are no drivers out for the computer.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .
