when i do this all the saves are basically SLUS and then a bunch of numbers. anyone know how to decode this?

That is how games saves are. The SLUS... then numbers are your game save. You can check your PS2 Disks by putting them on your computer, and exploring to see what SLUS file matches.
Or you can open them in PS2 save builder to see what game it is.
Is that what you mean by decoding.
